Agendaly is a WhatsApp-native appointment scheduling platform for service businesses. Businesses use Agendaly to manage bookings, customer communication, reminders, cancellations, deposits, and related appointment activity.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- business owners and staff who create or manage an Agendaly account;
- customers who book appointments with a business using Agendaly;
- users who interact with Agendaly through WhatsApp, web booking pages, payment links, or related services.

2. Information we collect

Business account information
When a business creates an Agendaly account, we may collect:
- business name;
- owner or staff name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- business category or industry;
- business address or service location;
- opening hours and availability;
- services, prices, durations, and booking rules;
- payment and deposit settings;
- WhatsApp Business connection details;
- account login and authentication information.
Customer booking information
When a customer books an appointment through Agendaly, we may collect:
- customer name;
- phone number;
- appointment date and time;
- selected service;
- booking notes or special requests;
- cancellation or rescheduling history;
- payment or deposit status;
- WhatsApp message delivery status where relevant.
WhatsApp and Meta information
If a business connects WhatsApp through Agendaly, we may process information required to provide WhatsApp booking and messaging features, including:
- WhatsApp Business Account identifiers;
- phone number identifiers;
- message templates;
- message status updates;
- customer phone numbers;
- booking-related WhatsApp messages sent through the platform.
We do not sell WhatsApp message data.
Payment information
If a business enables deposits or payments through a payment provider such as Paystack, we may process payment-related information such as:
- payment amount;
- transaction reference;
- payment status;
- deposit status;
- customer name, phone number, or email where required for the payment.
We do not store full card numbers. Card and mobile money payments are processed by the relevant payment provider.
Technical information
When users access Agendaly, we may collect:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device information;
- pages visited;
- timestamps;
- error logs;
- security logs;
- cookie or session identifiers.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage business accounts;
- provide appointment booking functionality;
- send booking confirmations, reminders, cancellation notices, and rescheduling messages;
- allow businesses to manage customers, staff, services, and availability;
- process deposits and payment statuses;
- connect and operate WhatsApp Business messaging features;
- prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorised access;
- provide customer support;
- improve Agendaly’s features and reliability;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on one or more of the following:
- contract: to provide Agendaly to businesses and process bookings requested by customers;
- legitimate interests: to operate, secure, improve, and support the platform;
- consent: where a user has agreed to specific communications, cookies, or optional features;
- legal obligation: where we must keep records or respond to lawful requests.
5. How we share information
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate Agendaly, including:
- cloud hosting providers;

- WhatsApp and Meta services;
- payment providers such as Paystack;

- professional advisers where required;

We only share information where necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, protect users, or operate Agendaly securely.

6. Businesses using Agendaly
Businesses using Agendaly are responsible for how they use customer data inside their own business.
Where Agendaly processes customer booking data on behalf of a business, the business may be the primary controller of that customer relationship. Agendaly acts as a service provider or processor for booking, messaging, payment status, and scheduling activity.
Customers who want to change or delete booking information may contact either the business they booked with or Agendaly directly.
7. International data transfers
Agendaly may use service providers located outside the country where a user lives. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information transferred internationally.

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Typical retention periods include:
- business account data: kept while the account is active;
- booking records: kept while needed for business records, dispute handling, support, and legal obligations;
- WhatsApp message logs and delivery statuses: kept only as needed to provide and troubleshoot messaging features;
- payment records: kept as required for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance;
- technical logs: kept for a limited period for security, debugging, and reliability.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

Please include enough information for us to identify the account, booking, or WhatsApp connection involved.
For Meta or WhatsApp-related data deletion requests, we will delete or disconnect the relevant data we hold, unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or accounting reasons.
Businesses can request deletion of their Agendaly account by contacting us at: support@agendaly.app
After an account deletion request, we will delete or anonymise account data where legally permitted.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;

- request a copy of your information;
